Valentina Persia is an Italian comedian, cabaret performer and actress, born in Rome on 1 October 1971. She began in the opera and ballet season at the Terme di Caracalla in 1985 and qualified as a solo dancer at the Accademia nazionale di danza in 1990. In 1995 she earned an acting diploma at Ribalte, the school directed by Pietro Garinei.
Her television career started in 1994, when she debuted as a comic on La sai l'ultima? on Canale 5 and reached the final. She was part of the regular cast of that programme from 1998 to 2002 and later appeared on shows including Tintarella di luna, Gabbia di matti and Tale e quale show. In 2021 she finished second on the fifteenth edition of L'isola dei famosi.
On stage she has starred in comedy productions at the Teatro Parioli in Rome and has toured one-woman shows, among them Ma che te ridi?! and Nata con la Guêpière, the latter written with Alessandro Clemente. Il Fatto Quotidiano reported in January 2025 that Sinceramente Persia, a comedy show on the Nove channel, was her first prime-time programme as lead, after about thirty years in the business. Her film credits include Teste di cocco (2000) and Buona giornata (2012).
