Descripción general

The Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre takes place from 7 to 11 October 2026 across the 18e arrondissement of Paris. It is the 93e édition, and its 2026 theme, « Le 18e donne le rythme », puts music at the centre. The organisers describe five days of festivities, meetings and discoveries.

The programme mixes concerts, choirs, dances, musical parades, participatory activities and neighbourhood events. Among the traditional highlights are the Ban des Vendanges, the Grand Défilé, the Parcours du Goût, the Cérémonie des non-demandes en mariage and the Bal de clôture.

The official programme sets out these slots. The Parcours du Goût, around the Sacré-Cœur, runs on 9 and 10 October from 10h00 to 23h00 and on 11 October from 10h00 to 19h00. On 10 October the Ban des Vendanges is held at the Vignes du Clos Montmartre from 9h45 to 11h30, and the Grand Défilé follows at the same place from 11h45 to 13h30.

On 11 October the Cérémonie des non-demandes en mariage is held at the Place des Abbesses from 10h30 to 12h30. The Bal de clôture ends the festival at the Square Louise Michel from 16h30 to 19h30.

The festival has a long wine-growing background: the first celebration of the vines took place in 1934, with Mistinguett and Fernandel as patrons, and since then Montmartre has marked its viticultural tradition every second weekend of October.

For visitors, the organisers state that all events of the official programme are free. Metro lines 2, 4, 12 and 13 serve the festival sites, while motor access to the Butte is strongly discouraged, or even forbidden, from 8 October.
