Journées du Patrimoine: Artist Books & Photography

During the European Heritage Days, the Marguerite Duras Media Library in Paris opens its doors for a special exploration of artist books on the theme of "Patrimoine et Photographie". Attendees can discover and handle a curated selection of rare and singular books, showcasing a wide diversity of forms, materials, styles, and intentions.

For adults, a morning discovery session offers an intimate encounter with these unique works. Children aged 6 and up can enjoy an afternoon session featuring delicate and surprising books, followed by a workshop where they create their own artist book inspired by designer Bruno Munari. The media library's collection of 300 artist books is a highlight, representing a specific medium of visual arts where each book is a work of art in its own right.
