La Bibliothèque Claire Bretécher au square Villemin is a listed event at Jardin Villemin in Paris, sourced from the city's official open-data agenda. Free entry. Check the link for the latest schedule and ticket details.
This summer, the Bibliothèque Claire Bretécher moves outdoors to the leafy Jardin Villemin in the 10th arrondissement. Every Tuesday and Friday morning from July 7 to August 21, librarians from the Françoise Sagan and Claire Bretécher libraries, along with the association L.I.R.E, host free storytime sessions for children.
Young listeners can enjoy a rotating selection of tales, picture books, and kamishibaï—a traditional Japanese storytelling technique using illustrated cards. The sessions take place in the open air, offering a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere in one of Paris's charming green spaces.
Please note that the outdoor sessions are weather-dependent and may be canceled in case of heavy rain or extreme heat. The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility and offers sign language interpretation upon request.
