Leer todos los detalles

After a period of closure for renovation works, the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II (TNDM II) reopens its doors in Rossio with a three-day celebration. The public is invited to rediscover this national monument through guided tours, a photography exhibition documenting the renovation process, and an exhibition dedicated to the theatre's 180-year history.

The programme includes the premiere of *Macbeth* by William Shakespeare, directed by Pedro Penim, as well as the launch of a new translation and edition of the play. The Coro do Recomeço, an initiative by the artistic structure ondamarela, will perform on the final day.

The reopening festivities extend into the street on the first evening, with the square as the audience and the theatre's facade as the stage, in a party fully open to the city.
