Sibiu is a Transylvanian Saxon town whose walled old center keeps its eyebrow-dormer rooftops, the Bridge of Lies and the Brukenthal National Museum. A 2007 European Capital of Culture, it hosts a well-known Christmas market and the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, one of the largest in the world.
