Launched in 2009, the festival became an officially Munich-licensed Oktoberfest for the first time in 2025, organised by Bucharest-based Laminor Arena Expo Events in direct partnership with the City of Munich (Landeshauptstadt München) and Brașov City Hall. The 2026 edition, its 16th, is confirmed for 27 August – 6 September 2026 on Strada Turnului, next to Parcul Tractorul in Brașov.
2027 dates have not been announced, and — unusually for this cluster — we are not offering a pattern-based guess: the festival’s own recent history contradicts a stable pattern (see below).
When is Oktoberfest Brașov 2026?
- Dates: 27 August – 6 September 2026 (the 16th edition).
- Venue: Strada Turnului, next to Parcul Tractorul, Brașov, Romania.
- Format: Munich-licensed Oktoberfest — German and Romanian beers, Bavarian brass bands and Romanian/international acts performing nightly, table service in tents, similar in spirit to the original Munich festival on a smaller scale.
Why we are not predicting 2027 dates
Most annual festivals in this cluster shift by a few days year to year, which makes a "historically it runs around X" pattern useful. Oktoberfest Brașov does not fit that: its first officially Munich-licensed edition, in 2025, ran 18 September – 5 October 2025 — late autumn, 18 days long. The very next year, 2026, moved to 27 August – 6 September — nearly a month earlier and about a week shorter. A shift of that size between consecutive editions means there is no dependable pattern to project forward, so rather than guess at 2027 we are stating plainly: not yet announced, and check back closer to the date, or watch this page — it will be updated the moment the organiser confirms one.

- This is a licensed Oktoberfest, not an unrelated event borrowing the name — Munich’s city hall (Landeshauptstadt München) is a direct partner as of the 2025 edition.
- Table reservations for groups are typically sold in advance for the tents; solo visitors and small groups can usually find space, especially on weekdays.
- The festival runs for over a week, unlike the shorter single-weekend format of some regional Oktoberfests, so there is flexibility on which days to visit.
