Kamelot brings its Dark Asylum world tour to Phoenix, an evening of American power metal built around the band's fourteenth studio album. The bill is a triple-header: Kamelot headlines with support from Visions of Atlantis and Frozen Crown, three acts that together cover symphonic, melodic, and classic power-metal ground. Led by vocalist Tommy Karevik and guitarist Thomas Youngblood, the night balances dramatic hooks with heavy, theatrical riffs.
The band's current touring lineup includes bassist Sean Tibbetts, keyboardist Oliver Palotai, and drummer Alex Landenburg. On the new album, guest vocalists such as Clémentine Delauney and Tobias Sammet lend additional color, and this tour offers a chance to hear that material performed live. Note the venue's strict bag rules — every bag is searched, backpacks are not allowed, and non-clear bags may face a deeper search — so travel light for the show.
