Based in Oakland, California, he began his career in 2006 and released two independent studio albums before signing with RCA Records to release his third album and major label debut, These Things Happen (2014).

It includes both formal and informal logic. Formal logic is the study of deductively valid inferences or logical truths. It examines how conclusions follow from premises based on the structure of arguments alone, independent of their topic and content.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, he is a founding member of the Southern hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, established in 1991.
