Mountain Grass Unit - Appalachian Smoke Tour

Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, Mountain Grass Unit is a bluegrass quartet known for their razor-sharp picking, fearless improvisation, and four-part harmony. The band—Drury Anderson, Luke Black, Josiah Nelson, and Sam Wilson—gained momentum in 2025 with extensive touring and standout festival appearances, including at Telluride Bluegrass and DelFest. They were named International Bluegrass Music Association’s Momentum Artist of the Year and are currently working on a new album.

Now on the Appalachian Smoke Tour, the band brings their high-energy show to Seattle’s Tractor Tavern in Ballard. Fans can expect a night of modern bluegrass that blends tradition with innovation, performed by one of the most forward-looking young bands in roots music.
