Alvaro Diaz - Omakase Tour in New York

Alvaro Diaz is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer from the Hato Rey neighborhood of San Juan who cut his teeth winning school rap battles before sharing early work on Puerto Rican music forums. Drawing more from Eminem, Kanye West and Kid Cudi than from reggaeton, he built a style that crosses vintage hip-hop with EDM and club music, setting him apart from much of the island's dominant sound. His 2026 album Omakase, featuring guests Tainy, Rubi, Jesse Baez, AKRILA and Latin Mafia, takes its name and concept from the Japanese chef's-choice dining tradition, framing Diaz as a curator guiding listeners course by course through the record -- a concept he developed after watching his cousin run a restaurant kitchen. The Omakase Tour brings that boundary-crossing, genre-fluid Latin hip-hop to New York on October 17, 2026.
