Pianist Makoto Ozone leads a trio tribute to bassist Kiyoshi Kitagawa at Birdland Jazz Club. Joined by Yasushi Nakamura on bass and Clarence Penn on drums, the evening honors Kitagawa's legacy through Ozone's distinctive blend of jazz and classical influences. Ozone, a Berklee graduate and Grammy nominee, has worked with Gary Burton, Chick Corea, and the New York Philharmonic, bringing a wealth of experience to this intimate performance.
