Meg Okura, a Tokyo-born, New York-based violinist and composer praised by The New York Times for music of “grandiloquent beauty that transitions easily from grooves to big cascades to buoyant swing,” leads a revival of Michael Brecker's groundbreaking Quindectet at Birdland Jazz Club. This chamber-jazz orchestra project, developed in conversation with Susan Brecker and Darryl Pitt, features contemporary tenor sax star Donny McCaslin.
