Since 2025, all players start at even-par, ensuring that the lowest scorer wins both the tournament and the FedEx Cup. The atmosphere is electric as the best in the world compete for a $40 million purse, with $10 million going to the champion.
The event also offers a Masters invitation to all 30 qualifiers and features the prestigious Calamity Jane trophy, a silver replica of Bobby Jones's putter. With the reversal of nines in 2016, spectators enjoy a dramatic finish on the par-5 18th hole.
