The presentation of the book Recuerdos inacabados. (Falsas apariencias, libro 2) by Julio López takes place on 22 October at 19:00 in the Salón de Actos of the Biblioteca Pública de Palencia. The event is free of charge and intended for adults, with entry allowed until capacity is reached. The book follows Apolo, a man approaching forty for whom anguish, frustration and life seem to form part of the same condemnation. In the depths of his mind live thousands of memories: some surface with cruel randomness, while others remain buried under a layer of reinforced concrete. Apolo is not his real name; he chose it in honour of Afrodita, the muse of his adolescence. One day he decides the time has come to confront the past that torments him and to close those unfinished memories, which means settling accounts with the person who starred in the youthful scenes his mind insisted on hiding. Julio López was born in Venta de Baños in 1967. He holds a doctorate in Ciencias Económicas and a degree in Derecho, and has been a professor at the Universidad de Valladolid since 1990. He has published numerous specialised articles, taken part in various research projects and carried out outreach work through the YouTube channel "Economedia Universidad". He has also collaborated with various media outlets writing opinion articles on economy and politics. He was also linked to political activity, an experience that inspired his first novel, Con Mamá o con Papá, after which he published Amén and has just published his third novel, Recuerdos inacabados.
