À propos de Churchill Downs Fall Racing
The venue is best known for hosting the Kentucky Derby each spring, but it also runs a Fall Meet, which takes place from late October through Thanksgiving weekend on the same one-mile dirt oval used for the Derby. Churchill Downs holds three race meets a year in total, adding a September Meet in 2013 alongside its long-standing spring and fall dates.
The grandstand's twin spires, designed by the architectural firm D.X. Murphy & Bro., remain the track's most recognizable feature. With the infield included, Churchill Downs can hold a crowd of roughly 170,000, and the facility has also hosted the Breeders' Cup on nine occasions, most recently in 2018.
