À propos de Empire of the Sun
The duo's 2008 debut album, Walking on a Dream, became a breakthrough success, reaching triple-platinum certification in Australia and gold in the United Kingdom and United States; its title track and the single "We Are the People" both charted internationally, and the album won seven ARIA Awards in 2009, including Album of the Year. Later albums include Ice on the Dune (2013), Two Vines (2016), featuring a collaboration with Lindsey Buckingham, and Ask That God (2024).
Empire of the Sun is known for elaborate stage productions built around flamboyant costumes, kabuto helmets, and war bonnets, drawing on samurai imagery and digital visual design for highly theatrical live performances at major festivals.
