Holy Holy is a British group formed in 2014 that performs David Bowie's music live, built around two musicians with direct ties to Bowie's original recordings: drummer Woody Woodmansey, the last surviving member of the Spiders from Mars, and Tony Visconti, Bowie's longtime producer and occasional bassist. Vocalist Glenn Gregory of Heaven 17 and guitarist James Stevenson complete the lineup.

À propos de Holy Holy

Rather than replicating Bowie's stage persona, the group presents full album shows, most often The Man Who Sold the World and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. In 2015 the band released a live recording of its Man Who Sold the World performance, produced by Visconti, with guest musicians including Erdal Kizilcay, Steve Norman and Marc Almond.

Since launching in September 2014, the project has toured the UK, North America and Japan, functioning closer to a legacy act than a conventional tribute band given its members' role in creating the original recordings. A planned 2022 tour proceeded without Woodmansey after a dispute over vaccination requirements, and he stepped away for a period afterward.

Woodmansey rejoined Holy Holy in 2025, restoring the group's founding partnership with Visconti. The act continues performing Bowie's 1970s catalogue for audiences who, in the decade since Bowie's 2016 death, have had few chances to hear the songs performed live by musicians who helped create them.
