Movements are an American post-hardcore band formed in 2015 in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. The band signed to Fearless Records after playing just one show, quickly establishing themselves within the emo revival movement alongside acts like Balance and Composure, Citizen and Title Fight.
Their debut album, Feel Something (2017), peaked at number 190 on the Billboard 200 and was followed by No Good Left to Give (2020) and RUCKUS! (2023). The band's early EP Outgrown Things (2016) helped establish their blend of post-hardcore intensity with spoken-word interludes and soft-grunge textures.
Movements performed on the entire 2017 Warped Tour and were nominated for Best Underground Band at the 2017 Alternative Press Music Awards. The current lineup features vocalist Patrick Miranda, guitarist Ira George, drummer Spencer York and bassist Austin Cressey.
Miranda has spoken openly about living with obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression and anxiety, themes that run through much of the band's songwriting and have resonated with fans of the emo revival scene.
