À propos de Outside Lands

The festival grew out of a 2004 conversation between Allen Scott of Another Planet Entertainment and Rick Farman of Superfly, and launched in 2008. It is produced jointly by Another Planet Entertainment, Starr Hill Presents, and Superfly, and is billed as the largest independently owned music festival in the United States; its inaugural edition drew roughly 130,000 attendees over three days.

Early headliners included Radiohead in 2008 and Paul McCartney in 2013, and later lineups have featured artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, and Tyler the Creator across rock, hip-hop, indie, and electronic genres.

The festival emphasizes local San Francisco culture, featuring exclusively local food vendors and stages named after city landmarks including the Panhandle and Twin Peaks.
