Taylor Acorn is an American singer-songwriter born September 21, 1993, and raised in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. She taught herself guitar at age 15 and left Kutztown University in 2014 to pursue music full time, initially working within country music after relocating to Nashville in 2017.
Acorn released the country EP Put It in a Song in 2017 and performed alongside acts such as Old Dominion before shifting toward pop-punk and alternative rock around 2020. Her cover versions of emo-era songs gained traction on TikTok, building an audience that carried into her original material, including the 2023 EP Certified Depressant, which featured a collaboration with Cassadee Pope.
After signing with Fearless Records, Acorn released her debut studio album, Survival in Motion, in September 2024, followed by her second album, Poster Child, in October 2025, which reached number 89 on the Official UK Album Downloads Chart and drew a favorable review from Kerrang!. Her songs "Psycho" and "Shapeshifting" remain among her best-known singles. Acorn's music combines early-2000s pop-punk energy with lyrics centered on mental health, citing Paramore, Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson as influences.
