Jornada de Huerto at El Retiro

Families with children aged eight and up can join a hands-on gardening session in Madrid's Retiro Park. The Jornada de huerto combines guided walks through the park with creative workshops, all led as participatory activities for family groups. It's a chance to explore the green space and learn about nature together in a relaxed, outdoor setting.

The event takes place at the Aula Ambiental La Cabaña del Retiro, a dedicated environmental education space. Activities are free, but advance booking is required, and sessions run with a minimum of four participants. Outdoor plans may be cancelled if weather alerts are issued, so it's worth checking conditions before heading out.
