Kirjailijavieraana Maiju Talvisto: Tätä ei tapahtuisi miehelle

Kirjailijavieraana Maiju Talvisto: Tätä ei tapahtuisi miehelle is an author event at Kallio Library in Helsinki on 28 October 2026, 17:30. The guest is music industry figure and non-fiction author Maiju Talvisto, whose new book Tätä ei tapahtuisi miehelle (Johnny Kniga, 2026) takes the reader behind the scenes of the music business and looks at the industry's power structures, gender roles and equality. The book is set in the music industry, but its questions concern working life much more widely. Talvisto writes about power and opportunity, and about who gets to shine, whose expertise is trusted and who is easily left aside. Maiju Talvisto is a long-standing figure in the music industry and a public commentator known especially for raising equality issues. She is also a co-founder of the Finnish chapter of shesaid.so, an international network of women and non-binary people in the music industry. Maiju Talvisto is interviewed by cultural producer and book social media influencer Meri Jaakola (@merisreads). The book can be bought from the author at the event for 25 euros.
