Grammy-winning vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth brings their boundary-pushing sound to the Philharmonie de Paris for a single evening. Known for blending classical training with a vast array of global singing techniques—from Tuvan throat singing to Korean p'ansori—the eight voices create a rich, exploratory palette.
The program features two commissioned works: Peter S. Shin's *Bits Torn From Words*, inspired by Korean-American artist Theresa Hak Kyung Cha, and Gabriel Kahane's *Elevator Songs*, a collection of melodies crafted through vocal workshops with the ensemble. The result is an intimate yet expansive portrait of the human voice, full of admiration and challenge.
