Bath grew up around Britain's only natural hot springs, developed as the Roman spa town Aquae Sulis and rebuilt in golden Bath stone during the Georgian era. Its Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and crescents like the Royal Crescent form a UNESCO World Heritage core, and the Thermae Bath Spa still uses the springs today.
