Margate is a Kent seaside resort built around a sandy main beach and the Turner Contemporary gallery, rebranded since the 2010s from a faded Victorian resort into a draw for artists and day-trippers from London. The Old Town's antique shops sit near the vintage Dreamland amusement park and the sands.
