Peat & Diesel bring their high-energy, humorous take on island life to Sunderland. The three-piece band from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis—Calum “Boydie” MacLeod, Innes Scott, and Uilly Macleod—formed over Saturday sessions at home and grew through social media. Their songs mix English with Gaelic phrases, offering a lively and authentic Scottish experience.

Attendees can expect a raucous show full of accordion-driven folk-punk and witty storytelling. The band has won "Live Act of the Year" at the Scots Trad Music Awards and stepped in to headline Belladrum in 2022. Their performances are known for a party atmosphere that gets crowds dancing and singing along.
