Set on a remote, windswept island off the coast of Ireland, *The Guest List* is a mystery novel that unfolds during the glamorous yet tension-filled wedding of Jules Keegan and Will Slater. The isolated venue, known as "The Folly," is owned by the wedding planner Aoife and her husband Freddy. As guests arrive by boat, a storm cuts off all communication with the mainland, heightening the ominous atmosphere.

The story is told through the alternating perspectives of several key characters: Jules; her fragile half-sister Olivia; Hannah, a guest and wife of Jules's longtime friend Charlie; Johnno, Will's best man; and Aoife, the wedding planner. Long-buried secrets begin to surface, including a cruel school game called "Survival" that led to a boy's accidental death. The narrative builds to a murder during the reception, with each guest harboring a motive.

*The Guest List* has been compared to the works of Agatha Christie, as a murder occurs with limited suspects and each guest has a secret. It became a *New York Times*, *Sunday Times*, and *Washington Post* bestseller, selling over a million copies in 30 territories. The novel was longlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger Award and won the 2020 Goodreads Choice Award for Mystery and Thrillers.
