Tiago Hesp e HMX: Steelborn, Phase III

This exhibition marks the third phase of an ongoing artistic collaboration between Tiago Hesp and HMX, following a joint show in Eindhoven and murals in the Netherlands. The works are created from reclaimed automotive steel, painted by the two artists and then subjected to an industrial compactor, deliberately surrendering control to chance. The resulting forms are unique and unpredictable, which the artists call "Steelborns" — descendants born from the combination of intention, collaboration, and transformation.

The pieces are displayed at UMA Galeria, a gallery and shop in Lisbon. Visitors can explore the collection from Monday to Friday, 11am to 7pm, and Saturdays from 11am to 6pm. Admission is free, making it an accessible cultural outing for anyone interested in contemporary art and experimental processes.
