The EDP Lisbon Marathon is a founding race of the new European Marathon Classics circuit, bringing together eight of Europe's finest marathons. Recognized as one of the most beautiful marathons in the world, it offers a 100% ocean- and riverside course starting in Carcavelos and finishing at the iconic Praça do Comércio.
Participants can expect a flat, fast, and incredibly scenic route along the coast. The event features live music along the course and a Finish Line Concert, creating a festive atmosphere for runners and spectators alike. With a time limit of 6 hours and a capacity of 15,000 participants, it's a well-organized race that attracts runners from around the globe.
Beyond the marathon itself, the weekend includes the Hyundai Half Marathon, EDP 8K, and EDP New Generation races, making it a full running festival. The Sport Expo on the days before the race offers kitbag collection and a sports fair, adding to the event experience.

- Participants can collect their kitbag (bib number and official t-shirt) at the Sport Expo at FIL in the EXPO area on Thursday and Friday before the race.
- Public transportation (trains, buses, and subway) is free for all runners from 05:30 am until 5:00 pm on race day.

How many participants are allowed?
The maximum number of participants is 15,000.
Can I transfer my registration to another person?
No, registrations are personal and non-transferable. Only in exceptional cases like illness, injury, or pregnancy may it be transferred to the following edition.
How do I get to the starting line?
The start is at Estrada N6-7 in Carcavelos. The organization recommends taking the CP train from Cais do Sodré to Carcavelos (about 30 minutes). The train station is about 1 km from the start.
