Anja Huwe is the voice behind Xmal Deutschland, the Hamburg gothic rock band formed with a completely female line-up. The group had chart success in and outside Germany, and its single "Incubus Succubus" became a cult post-punk classic. At White Oak Music Hall, Huwe brings that dark, atmospheric sound to the stage.
Expect an evening steeped in the brooding, guitar-driven textures and German-language vocals that defined Xmal Deutschland's sound. It's a chance to hear the voice behind that band in an intimate, all-ages, standing-room setting.
