Experience the 2026 edition of Gerry Gibbs' Dream Band at Birdland Jazz Club, featuring NEA Jazz Masters Gary Bartz, Randy Brecker, Buster Williams, and pianist Cyrus Chestnut. This quintet brings together musicians who have performed with Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Frank Sinatra among many others.
Over five nights, Gibbs and his band will perform his compositions and arrangements, blending post-bop and modern jazz. The intimate setting of Birdland allows close interaction between the artists and the audience. Each musician's extensive experience promises a set filled with improvisation and interplay.
Gerry Gibbs, with 17 solo albums and multiple Grammy nominations, leads this ensemble. His career includes collaborations with Alice Coltrane, Chick Corea, and Thundercat, reflecting his versatility. This engagement spotlights the individual talents of each band member while showcasing Gibbs' vision as a composer and bandleader.
