Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Commanders Rivalry Game

The Philadelphia Eagles host the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field in a regular-season matchup of one of the NFL's most heated rivalries.

The rivalry dates to the 1933 season when both teams were placed in the NFL's Eastern Division. Notable moments include the 1990 "Body Bag Game," in which the Eagles injured nine Washington players, and the 2010 "Monday Night Massacre," when Philadelphia scored 59 points.

The Commanders hold a 91–88–6 series lead. The two teams have met twice in the playoffs: Washington won the 1990 Wild Card round, and Philadelphia won the 2024 NFC Championship Game.

The Eagles were founded in 1933 by Bert Bell and Lud Wray; the Commanders were founded in 1932 by George Preston Marshall, originally as the Boston Braves.
