Scene Queen brings her hyperfeminine, metalcore-rooted sound to San Antonio with WARGASM and Bailey Spinn in tow. The artist behind the term ‘bimbocore’, she pairs pop vocal distortions and trap beats with metalcore-inspired breakdowns, creating a set that swings between sugary hooks and confrontational heaviness.
Her songs have also taken aim at street harassment, the objectification of women, and predatory behaviour in the alternative scene — themes that run through her EPs and her album Hot Singles in Your Area. With WARGASM and Bailey Spinn sharing the bill, the night brings together three distinct takes on modern alternative music.
