Solya at SOMA - Sidestage

Solya brings her distinct blend of West Texas-inspired sound to San Diego's SOMA - Sidestage. The 20-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has been creating music since age four, drawing from influences like Harry Nilsson and David Bowie while incorporating shimmering synths, 1950s rock ’n’ roll melodies, and country slide guitar. Her vocal delivery evokes Patsy Cline, while her lyrics carry the cutting edge of Fiona Apple.

Her debut album, Queen of Texas, produced by Danny Reisch in Lockhart, Texas, explores themes of chaotic love, rebellion, and the isolation of growing up queer in a conservative town. This show is part of her first North American headline tour with a full band, offering attendees a chance to experience her evolving live performance in an intimate setting. The venue, SOMA - Sidestage, provides a standing-room-only environment with craft beer available.
