The Mavericks bring their genre-blending sound to Houston with a night built around the band's mix of country, Tejano, Latin, Americana and 1950s pop. Formed in Miami in 1989, the group built its reputation on Raul Malo's lead vocals and a restless musical approach that has carried it from independent roots to major-label country.
Expect a live set drawing on a catalog that includes the platinum-certified *What a Crying Shame*, the UK hit "Dance the Night Away," and "All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down." Over the years, the band has picked up a Grammy Award, two Country Music Association awards, and three Academy of Country Music awards, and the current touring lineup features guest vocalists James Otto and Emily West.
