BEAT unites Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, guitarist Steve Vai, and drummer Terry Bozzio for a tour built around the music of King Crimson. The program draws on three albums the band released in the 1980s — Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair.
Rather than recreating the original recordings, the quartet approaches the material with the spirit, precision, and adventurousness that made those albums enduring. This run follows performances across the Americas, Europe, and Japan, and is the group's last North American tour.
It is a rare chance to hear a deep slice of progressive-rock repertoire played by players with direct ties to the source material.
