Futurebirds in Concert in Columbus

Futurebirds bring their Athens, Georgia-bred blend of rock and roll, Americana, country rock, folk rock, and neo-psychedelia to Columbus. The band came together in 2008 among University of Georgia students, anchored by three songwriters—Daniel Womack, Carter King, and Thomas Johnson—whose distinct voices give the catalog its eclectic range.

Expect an energetic live set. The group built its reputation on raucous performances, sharing stages with Widespread Panic, Drive-By Truckers, and others along the way. Their steady stream of releases, from Hampton's Lullaby to the 2026 double album Far Out Country I & II, plus collaborations with My Morning Jacket's Carl Broemel, show a band still expanding its sound.
