Mel Brown B3 Organ Group: Jazz Titan Thursdays

The Mel Brown B3 Organ Group keeps a long-running Thursday-evening tradition of jazz, blues, and soul alive in Portland. The four-piece band — all Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductees — began a 20-year run at Jimmy Mak's, where they became the venue's signature group, and have continued that tradition at the Jack London Revue for the past six years. Their sets are built on spontaneity, with blistering solos, improvised arrangements, and seamless segues.
