Voodoo Child: A Rock Tribute to Hendrix and More

Voodoo Child brings an Ohio-based tribute to the music of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC to Treelawn Social Club in Cleveland. The band's name nods to Hendrix's "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)", one of his best-known songs and a staple of his live performances. Expect wah-wah soaked leads, crunching chords and the blues-rock energy these artists defined.

Treelawn Social Club on Waterloo Road hosts the show, and all ages are welcome. The title track grew out of a studio jam that also produced "Voodoo Chile", with Steve Winwood and Jack Casady joining the session, and it later became Hendrix's only UK number one single.
