Jurgen von der Lippe is a German comedian, musician, author, audiobook narrator and television presenter. He was born Hans-Jurgen Hubert Dohrenkamp on 8 June 1948 in Bad Salzuflen, and the family moved to Aachen in 1950. He studied in Aachen from 1970 and at the Technical University of Berlin from 1973, left without a degree, and has lived in Berlin since then.
On stage he has toured with a program every year since 1977, except 2007, and in 1989 he gave three approved concerts in the GDR. In music he played in the group Blattschuss, later Gebruder Blattschuss, which he left in summer 1978. His song Guten Morgen, liebe Sorgen (1987) reached number one on the ZDF-Hitparade and its album reached gold status.
On television he presented WWF Club (1980-1984), the talk show So isses (1984-1989) and the game show Geld oder Liebe (1989-2001), among other programs. He received the Goldene Kamera in 1993 and the Adolf Grimme Award in 1994 for Geld oder Liebe, and the Deutscher Fernsehpreis honorary award for lifetime achievement in 2019. His books include a novel, Nudel im Wind (2019), and Sextextsextett (2025).
