Late-summer highlights

August tends to continue the peak outdoor season with festivals and city breaks, though some venues slow down as locals take their own summer holidays.

  • Catch the last of the season's open-air festivals and food markets
  • Look for late-summer concerts and outdoor film screenings
  • Some smaller venues run a lighter schedule mid-month — worth checking listings ahead
