Why the United Kingdom?

The United Kingdom is one of the most popular destinations for Greek travellers, drawing both students and short-break visitors to London. The city is home to some of the world's leading universities and welcomes thousands of Greek students each year.

London also hosts one of the largest Greek-Cypriot communities outside Greece and Cyprus, with areas such as Wood Green and Haringey retaining a strong presence of Greek shops, churches and restaurants, making the trip feel familiar to many visitors.

Since 2025, Greek citizens need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) to enter the United Kingdom, a simple electronic permit issued online before travel. The currency is the British pound (GBP), not the euro, which affects budget planning.
