Malta punches well above its size for summer festivals. The Malta Jazz Festival brings international headliners to the Grand Harbour waterfront in Valletta each July; the Farsons Beer Festival in Birkirkara draws tens of thousands across a long weekend; and the Dance Festival Malta stages outdoor performances at the historic Upper Barrakka Gardens.
