KARSU in Rotterdam

Karsu Dönmez, the Turkish-Dutch singer, pianist and composer, performs in Rotterdam. Born in Amsterdam in 1990 to a family with roots in Hatay, Turkey, she began performing publicly as a teenager at her parents' restaurant before her career gained momentum through a Carnegie Hall performance and Dutch television appearances. Her music blends jazz, R&B and pop into a style often described as jazz pop, and she sings across Dutch, English and Turkish depending on the song. She won the Edison Award, Dutch music's top industry honour, for her 2016 album Colors, and competed as a finalist in the Netherlands' Eurovision selection in 2024.
