VEJA – Ciclo Sérgio Tréfaut

The Biblioteca da Casa do Alentejo hosts VEJA, a retrospective dedicated to the work of filmmaker Sérgio Tréfaut. Over several months, one film is screened per month, repeated every Thursday, creating a relaxed space to revisit landmark works and explore different perspectives on Portugal, memory, identity, and the world.

The lineup spans Tréfaut's career, from early works like "Alcibíades" (1992) to recent films such as "A Noiva" (2022). Highlights include "Lisboetas" (2004), "Paraíso" (2021), "Treblinka" (2016), and "Raiva" (2018), offering a deep dive into his documentary and narrative styles. The cycle also features shorter pieces like "Cante" (2014) and "Waiting for Paradise" (2009).
