Fireside Collective brings its bluegrass-and-folk-rooted sound to the Middle Ages Music Hall in Syracuse. What began as an Asheville, North Carolina newgrass outfit has grown into a jam band that folds rock ’n’ roll, funk, world music, and improvisation into its original songs, with changing setlists and extended jams from night to night.
Original members Joe Cicero, Jesse Iaquinto, Tommy Maher, and Carson White started playing together in 2014, and drummer Michael Tillis later expanded the sound with funk, classic rock, and world-music textures. Fans can expect a groove-oriented show shaped by the band’s love of the Grateful Dead, with songwriting nods to Robert Hunter, Bob Dylan, and the Beatles.
