Lollapalooza is a music festival founded in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell, originally as a farewell touring festival that became a defining event of the alternative-rock era. Since 2005 its home has been Grant Park in Chicago, where it draws around 400,000 fans across four days each summer.

Lollapalooza has since franchised into a global network of editions, including Lollapalooza Berlin (running since 2015), Paris and Stockholm in Europe, plus long-running South American editions. Line-ups span rock, alternative, hip-hop, pop and electronic music across multiple stages.
