John Pizzarelli Swing 7

John Pizzarelli brings his Swing 7 show to Birdland Jazz Club. A guitarist and singer, Pizzarelli is established as a contemporary interpreter of the Great American Songbook, and the Boston Globe has hailed him for reinvigorating that repertoire and re-popularizing jazz. His sets reach well beyond the standards, expanding into the songs of Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Antônio Carlos Jobim and the Beatles.

In an intimate New York jazz room, the evening is built around the craft of the song, with Pizzarelli’s guitar and voice sharing the spotlight.
