Tropical Nights Waikiki with Christie Brooke

Christie Brooke, the retro-soul and jazz artist from Kaneohe, brings her brand of tropical sounds to Blue Note Hawaii. The evening blends exotica, bossa nova, jazz, and retro soul, featuring original tunes, jazz standards, and island classics. Brooke, who has performed at venues like the House of Blues on Sunset Strip and sold out shows at Kapono's speakeasy The Velvet Monkey, draws inspiration from Blossom Dearie, Ella Fitzgerald, Les Baxter, and Amy Winehouse. Her recent EP "Jazz in Waikiki" is available on streaming platforms, and this show marks a new chapter in her island home.
